New York New York

"So good they named it twice" .... Never understood that before, but New York City is in New York State - but I guess you all knew that!!

Monday - first day in NY freezing cold and sleety rain.... finally got to the city and froze, but persevered and walked the city for 4 hours...

Glad we didn't take the car in - parking is horrendous... plus even Bill didn't want to drive in Manhatton and it costs $8 just to get into town....

Rockefeller Plaza - a skating rink in the centre of town, also the place where they record the Today show live outside the plazza (USA answer to Daybreak)

Cold grey day and bad hair day!!

Yet another outsided skating rink in Bryant Park

Grand Central Station - 500,000 commuters every day.....

But not many having their shoes shined!!

New York Public Library

Day 2....... SUNSHINE WHOO HOOOO
It was still cold but we spent the morning in Central Park which was beautiful

Skating rink in Central Park

Scary.....

New York City was beautiful today and after many hours of walking we limped back to our room tired but happy.....
