Austin (Nevada) to Lake Tahoe (California)

Back on the road after great time in Austin at the 'pub' ..

Usual road pics showing how far you can see... Odd pics of a 'castle',
7 Eleven and our motel etc

We picked a point on the horizon and realised we could see for 23 miles!

Stopped at Sand Mountain....

"Sand Mountain is a Singing sand dune 20 miles east of Fallon, Nevada along U.S. Route 50. The dune is two miles long and 600 feet (180 m) high.[3] It lies on the edge of the ancient Lake Lahontan, that for the most part dried up 9,000 years ago"

Difficult to see its 2 miles long from pics!

People take their off road vehicles and race up and down the sand dune - the equipment they use is mega expensive!

Onward to Lake Tahoe...
